The UW Graduate School recognizes that graduate
education leads to careers in a range of occupations both inside and outside
the academy.
Being prepared for a variety of careers following
graduate education means enhancing your education an
d knowledge beyond the
classroom, library, field, or lab. The Graduate School is pleased to offer
this series of workshops and presentations that provide that “value-added”
education and skills.
The series is designed to:
Ø
Identify non-academic topics and provide resources to assist
graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows, in preparing for future
careers in a broad array of fields and professions
Ø
Promote a broader sense of professional identity for graduate
students and postdoctoral fellows than might be available from individual
programs in disciplines or interdisciplinary fields
Ø
Promote graduate student retention rates through clarifying
career options and assisting with navigating through graduate education
Ø
Provide students with a competitive edge securing professional
positions
There is no registration required for these events
(except for "Turning Dissertations Into Books")
We hope to see you there.
