Dear Student:
The goal of the Name Exchange program is to inform minority students of the opportunities to attend graduate school. Participants must be undergraduates at participating institutions and must be invited to participate by their institution. Participants must meet these general guidelines:
If you have been invited and have the 2008 invitation code from your undergraduate institution, you can create a new Name Exchange profile. You may return to this site after your initial entry to make changes, but all updates must be completed by the July 1, 2008 deadline.
If you participated in last year's Name Exchange, all 2006 student profiles have been deleted. You must create a new profile for the 2008 Name Exchange as if this was your first time participating. You do not need to know your log-in and password from last year. Register as a new student using the 2008 "invitation code". (If you do not have the 2008 invitation code, please contact your home undergraduate institution's Name Exchange coordinator/coordinating office.)

What are you doing this summer?
What are you doing this summer? Why not consider a MURF, SURF, or SROP? No matter what each institution calls them, summer research opportunities (SROP's) for undergraduates generally are designed to introduce college sophomores, juniors, and seniors to the sort of work they could do as graduate students.
SROP's are typically targeted at motivated undergraduate students who are underrepresented minorities and/or the first generation from their family to attend college, and who are interested in the sciences, engineering, or biomedical sciences. (No matter what your major, though, chances are there is some sort of summer internship for you!) Students spend the summer working with a faculty member to developing a research project and carry it out.
