Graduate Opportunities & Minority Achievement Program
As a unit of the UW Graduate School, the Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program (GO-MAP), is committed to serving the needs of students of color and students from other underrepresented groups, while simultaneously fostering an educational and social environment in which all students can learn and develop through experiences rich in cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity. GO-MAP’s three main areas of focus are:
- Outreach, recruitment, and retention
- Enhancing scholarship and research
- Building community, on and off campus
2010 Winter Quarter Mentoring and Networking Reception
GO-MAP's quarterly receptions offer opportunities during the academic year for graduate students to connect, reconnect, and network across disciplines and campuses with graduate students of color, faculty, and staff.
We will once again be inviting UW undergraduate minority students to join us. We are happy to be teaming up with the Ethnic Cultural Center, the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, and other groups on campus to focus on extending the pipeline from undergraduate to graduate school. To RSVP »
While many of GO-MAP's events are geared toward minority and underrepresented students, they are open to all University of Washington graduate students, faculty and staff, especially those interested in maintaining and increasing a racially diverse graduate student population and wishing to network with graduate students of color.
