Profiles

Your profile dictates which student entries you will be emailed or see.  Changes to your profile are immediate; if you alter discipline, GPA or notification options, those changes are reflected immediately in the student entries you will see and/or be emailed.

Your account is specific to your email address, so you cannot create another account with the same email to add additional discipline categories.

If you select a GPA, students with overall GPA below your selection will not be displayed and you will not be emailed (if you selected that notification option) when students register for the Name Exchange.

You may select only one notification option.  If you select "Send me an email each time a student registers", you will automatically be sent an email each time a student entry is made.  Please note that if you have selected a lot of discipline choices (particularly popular professional degree programs such as Business), you may get a lot of emails.  If you chose the option "Send me an email in June for all student registrants", you will get a single email with information on all participating students meeting your criteria.  Note that this email may be quite long.  If you select "No notifications - I'll get my information exclusively from this Web site", you will not receive any emails, and it will be up to you to either periodically check the Web site for updates, or visit the Web site only at the conclusion of the Name Exchange cycle in June.

Viewing Student Information

You must display the student list before you can "drill-down" to the student detail display.  Select "Review student list" from the main page.  You may need to make your browser window full-screen to see all of the list information.  To sort a column, click on the column's heading.  GPA sorts in descending order, all other columns sort in ascending order.

To see the detail information for a particular student, click on the student's name.  If your browser is set up for email, you can click on the email address to open an email window addressed to the student.

Export A Student List to Excel

To export a list of all students who meet your current criteria, select "Export student list to Microsoft Excel" from the main page.  You will need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to use this feature.  You will probably be prompted to "save" or "open" the page.  If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you should be able to open the page as an Excel document from within the browser.  Otherwise save the file to your computer hard drive, then open it with Excel.
