Description

Ethics and Survival Skills in Academia is a campus-wide course offered annually and attended by both graduate students and postdocs, primarily in biological and experimental sciences. The primary objective of the course is to provide graduate students and postdoctoral scientists with ethical research skills and resources valuable for survival both during and after graduate school. The course was designed to include issues of scientific ethics and standards in order to meet the NIH requirement for trainees. The course emphasizes active learning. Students are expected to interact through frequent discussions and assignments involving case studies and exercises.
