California Virtual Campus

Description

The California Virtual Campus (CVC) Web site links the public to online courses, certificate programs, and degree programs offered through distance learning technology by California colleges and universities. Participating campuses include those of the University of California and California State, as well as private institutions and community colleges.

The mission of the California Virtual Campus is to bring the best of California higher education to full- and part-time students in California, the United States, and throughout the world. CVC is intended to expand access within California to post-secondary education and assist the state in meeting the needs of a significant portion of the nearly 500,000 additional students projected to enter California's higher education institutions over the next decade. Additionally, CVC seeks to provide to California employers a means by which they can improve the productivity of their workforce through an extensive network of high-quality, distance-education programs and services.

California Virtual Campus connects graduate students to doctoral programs in Ethnic and Cultural Studies; Business Management and Administrative Services; Communications; Education; Health Professions and Related Sciences; Liberal Arts and Sciences; General Studies and Humanities; Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies; Psychology; and Public Administration and Services.
