TA Excellence Awards

Description

A joint project of the Graduate and Professional Students Association and The Graduate School, the Teaching Assistant Excellence Award program recognizes those graduate students who have demonstrated excellence in their role as teaching assistants. Approximately two-thirds of the graduate students at WSU are involved in teaching classes to undergraduate and professional students. Graduate, undergraduate, and professional students and faculty are encouraged to nominate outstanding teaching assistants. A total of ten awards are given: five to TAs who independently instructed lecture sections and five to TAs who performed supportive duties such as grading, teaching lab sections, or leading tutorials. A monetary prize of $300 and a certificate of recognition is awarded to each of the ten TAs selected.
