Teaching Assistant Consultants

Description
Teaching Assistant consultants provide discipline-specific mentoring to TAs in their discipline while also learning to prepare for the academic job market. They are selected through a job search modeled after a real academic search. Once hired, they acquire teaching, mentoring, administrative, and interpersonal skills & experience similar to what they face as faculty.

The program is offered on campus with opportunities for internships at other institutions. The Instructional Resources Center, Office of Graduate Studies, and the Career Center collaborate to offer the program.
