Partnerships for Mentoring and Placements

Description
Our department's doctoral students receive placements and faculty mentoring from our partner psychology departments at several local non-doctoral institutions. To thank our partners, we host an annual Tri-State Psychology symposium, centered on professional development for our partners' undergraduate students. The centerpiece is a poster session showcasing undergraduate research posters. In breakout sessions, undergraduates hear from our doctoral faculty and students about the graduate school admissions process. Meanwhile, graduate students learn about faculty roles and responsibilities from partner faculty, and partner and doctoral faculty meet about topics of common interest.

This program is offered by Miami University's Department of Psychology and our partner psychology departments: Miami's regional campuses at Hamilton and Middletown, Earlham College, College of Mount Saint Joseph and Northern Kentucky University.
