Academic Writing Development Workshops

Description

These workshops run in a series, although each is considered a "stand-alone" seminar. Topics rotate from quarter to quarter, but a typical 4-workshop series is:

  • "Meeting the Challenge of Academic Writing"

  • "Achieving Organizational Clarity and Logical Flow in Academic Writing"

  • "Achieving Clarity of Expression and Style in Academic Writing"

  • "Strengthening Your Introduction and Discussion Sections"

Each workshop is 2 hours, held every other Friday. Each includes didactic material and interactive discussion and exercises. Workshops occur on the UCSF campus, and are sponsored by the UCSF Student Academic Enrichment Programs.  More information about this Practice can be found at the following web site:
