English 999 - Dissertation Workshop

Description

English 999 is a course for PhD candidates in the English Dept. who have advanced to candidacy and are writing their theses. PhD students meet monthly throughout the year with a faculty advisor to workshop one another's writing, usually chapter drafts. The writing is distributed one week in advance of the monthly session. We meet  twelve months a year, for several hours in the evening. A social hour follows each session.
