Graduate Degree Program in Ecology (GDPE)

Description

Since 1994, Colorado State has offered both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees through the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology. Graduate students in GDPE are better unified as to their field and no longer bear the obligation to satisfy multiple departments' curricula requirements. This structure fosters a focus on interaction that is crucial to ecology. The Ph.D. requirements include 8 credit hours of ecology (overviews from organism up to ecosystem levels), a research development seminar, and a visiting ecologist seminar; as well as 6 credit hours of graduate-level statistics.
