Graduate Degree Program in Food Science

Description

In this custom program, employees of the Kellogg Company enroll in MSU's Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition without having to commute to campus, thereby creating the least amount of disruption to Kellogg activities. MSU applies the same admissions and degree requirements as those for residential students. Kellogg arranges for student employees to conduct research and classes at Kellogg facilities, seeking to encourage staff development and innovative thinking within its research and development team. Student employees present their final dissertations at Kellogg facilities, then travel to a national meeting to present their research findings as part of their professional development as a scholar. Every effort is made to enable students to earn Ph.D.s within three years.
