Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

Description

Columbia University's Center for Environmental Research and Conservation (CERC) offers a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Program requirements include a full year of coursework in ecology and evolution, as well as environmental policy. The last requirement is recognized by the School of International and Public Affairs with a Certificate in Environmental Policy. The CERC program is a consortium of five institutions: Columbia University, the American Museum of Natural History, The New York Botanical Garden, the Wildlife Conservation Society, and Wildlife Preservation Trust International. The consortial nature of CERC is reflected both in courses and in advising and research that is done in a variety of venues (museum, zoo, botanical garden) and across institutions.
