Graduate Education Forum

Description

The Forum on graduate education allows an interchange between individuals from over 130 institutions which include universities, agencies, professional organizations, foundations, and business and industry. The forum is organized around forty-four "featured practices"-- innovative programs in graduate education from around the country. Representatives from each featured practice share an exhibit about their practice and participate in short presentations and discussions. Extensive written material is collected from participants and, together with transcripts of presentations by speakers and panelists, is integrated into a forum synthesis intended to make a major contribution to the evolution of graduate education in this country. NISE is a partnership between the University of Wisconsin - Madison and the National Center for Improving Science Education in Washington, DC.
