Career Pathways

Description

UCLA's Alumni Association, Career Center, and Graduate Division joined together to sponsor the Career Pathways conference which accommodated nearly 500 graduate students. The students responded enthusiastically to the opportunity to visit with panels of 54 doctoral alumni now working outside the academy. Twelve additional workshops were added on demand to cover topics such as identifying marketable skills, strategies for researching industries, and preparing job search documents. UCLA supplements this effort with two Career Center workshop series, a career resource library, drop-in career counseling services, and a total of 5 hours of personalized career planning assistance.
