Programs in Graduate Education

Description

The American Chemical Society provides ongoing studies of employment through its office of Career Services and provides information on research opportunities in graduate schools through a biennial publication, the Directory of Graduate Research. In addition, the Society publishes brochures and sponsors a variety of meetings which introduce students to career opportunities. In 1995, the ACS sponsored a special study of employment patterns for recent doctorates in chemistry that was printed for widespread distribution.
