New Career Opportunities for Young Scientists Seminar

Description

This six-session weekly seminar series presents information about career paths other than the traditional academic track at a large university. The speakers are former bench researchers who have moved onto different career paths. The goal of the series is to host two speakers for each session who are from overlapping fields. One speaker is well established in the field and able to give a broad perspective and insight as to the direction the field is headed. The second speaker is more junior, has left the bench within the past 5 years, and is able to give information about what is necessary for cross training, as well as personal insight into the transition involved when one leaves bench research.
