The Council for Chemical
Research Catalog of Course Material is a World Wide Web
compendium of brief modules which explain to students how
the technical content of a course is applied in industry.
Modules are designed to be easily downloaded and inserted
into existing courses with no disruption to the course and
with little time investment on the part of the busy
lecturer. Technical topics and non-technical career topics
such as economics, the role of patents, environmental
issues, and working in teams are included. The Catalog was
initiated by the CCR Science Education Committee and will be
administered by the Committee as an electronic journal. The
CCR Board is supporting the development of a
prototype.
