Graduate Certificate Program in Management Practice

Description

The year-old Graduate Program in Management Practice provides advanced degree students with a sound and essential introduction to the fundamentals of business management in preparation for successful careers using their graduate training beyond the university. This certificate program consists of two components, academic coursework and management practice. The courses are scheduled on a five-quarter basis with five different focuses: 1st Quarter, Communication; 2nd Quarter, Accounting & Finance; 3rd Quarter, Marketing; 4th Quarter, Internship; and 5th Quarter, Management. All students in the program must complete a 160-hour internship with an approved organization. A preceptor at the host organization is designated to guide student's work during the internship. The Certificate in Management Practice is awarded upon completion of the program.
