Industry Affiliates Program

Description

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering's Industrial Affiliates Program aims to support the mutual needs of business, industry, and academia in computer research, development, and education. This is accomplished by providing appropriate mechanisms for technical exchange and collaboration and employment of students. Contacts with prospective employees can be established easily; affiliates have early access to student resumes and student and faculty publications. Special seminars and short courses can be arranged. Faculty members are available for informal technical discussions and more formal presentations. A faculty member is designated as a liaison for every member company. Similarly, each industrial affiliate designates up to three employees as technical representatives to the program. Membership contribution guidelines are modest: $500/year for companies of fewer than 20 employees and startups, $2,500/year for those with between 20 and 150 employees, $5,000/year for those with between 150 and 1000 employees, and $10,000/year for larger companies.
