Contributions to Society or Community
Government Work

Four respondents indicated that they contribute to society or the community by using their scholarly expertise working with the government.   The following are the data that were included in this category:

• Engineering duty in the naval reserve
• Advising state and federal governments
• Pro bono scientific advice to government agencies
• Government consultation
