Dear University of Washington Alumna/Alumnus,

Re-envisioning the Ph.D., a project focusing on the transformation of doctoral education at the University of Washington, is conducting a survey of UW Ph.D. alumni. Information about the project and a wide array of resources addressing issues in doctoral education are posted on our website at http://www.grad.washington.edu/envision/. As part of the project we are surveying alumni in order to improve professional development opportunities for doctoral students and to build partnerships between UW. doctoral students, Ph.D. alumni, and alumni workplaces in the Puget Sound area. We hope that the results of this study will benefit upcoming doctoral students at the University of Washington.

We would like you to assist us by filling out this short survey, which should take approximately five minutes to complete. Please complete and return the enclosed survey and response card in the provided return envelope by May 17.

Taking part in this survey is voluntary. Your responses will be completely confidential, and the information will be used only in an aggregated form, without identifying you individually.
