The UW Graduate School Development Team aims to increase philanthropic gifts benefiting all University of Washington graduate students.  We focus on graduate education giving opportunities that cut across disciplinary boundaries and impact the entire campus.  Our efforts build resources that facilitate the Graduate Dean's priorities; these include enhancing/supporting:  diversity, interdisciplinary programs, dissertation year fellowships, shortened time to degree, and recruitment of top students.  We coordinate matching funds for major fellowship gifts, as well as providing development staff support for Graduate School administered programs/units such as the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation fellowships, the Center for Instructional Development and Research (CIDR), and the Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program.  We also work closely with the UW Press development team to augment their efforts to generate private support for the publication of outstanding scholarly books.
