Welcome to the University of Washington!

Congratulations on your offer of admission to graduate study at the University of Washington!  It is my pleasure to welcome you to our campus. The rich tradition, impressive physical facilities, spectacular natural setting and, most of all, the high quality of the faculty, students and staff, make this an exciting educational environment.  I trust that your time spent in graduate study here will be stimulating, rewarding, and enjoyable. We look forward to your becoming part of our community.

The following important materials are being sent to you under separate cover by the Registrar's Office:

Enrollment

To confirm your intention to enroll, detach and return the Enrollment Confirmation Acknowledgement, together with the $100 deposit. The deposit will apply toward your tuition and should be remitted by the date indicated on the card. If your payment is received later than the assigned date, your enrollment will be considered on a space-available basis. If your enrollment cannot be confirmed due to limited space, your $100 will be refunded. If you lose the pre-addressed envelope, the deposit should be mailed to:

The University of Washington
Registrar's Mail Services Office
249 Schmitz Hall
Box 355850
Seattle, WA   98195-5850

If you are unable to attend the University the quarter you were accepted, and wish to be considered for admission to a later quarter, you must contact the Graduate Program Coordinator in your department immediately.

PLEASE NOTE: With the exception of designated formal concurrent degree programs, if you have applied and been accepted to more than one graduate program at the University of Washington, you may accept only one of those offers. Once you have sent the $100 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit for one program, attempts to accept offers from other graduate programs, including those from University of Washington Bothell, Seattle or Tacoma campuses, will be blocked.

Although you may be anticipating some form of financial aid or a tuition exemption, you must send the $100 to reserve your space at the University. The fee is not refundable nor is it transferable to another person or quarter. Questions regarding this Enrollment Confirmation Deposit should be directed to regmail@u.washington.edu.

As soon as the Registration Office receives your $100 deposit, registration materials will be mailed to you. If you do not receive them, duplicates may be obtained at the Registration Office, 249 Schmitz Hall.
